BJJ Fundamentals

The GI Fundamentals class format focuses on core positions and enables the student to refine techniques through drilling, position rolling and short sparring sessions. Students have the opportunity to develop and test their skill in a safe, competitive environment

BJJ Advanced GI

The Mass Bay BJJ advanced GI class is centered on the science of Jiu-Jitsu and is intended for hobbyists, and students who wish to focus on the sport/competition aspect of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. As you evolve, the instruction and techniques become more personalized to your needs. You’ll learn to make your Jiu-Jitsu flow from a variety of complex moves and techniques that will push your game to the next level.

Submission Grappling

The No GI Jiu-Jitsu classes are built on the same techniques and strategies as Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. The grappling students do not wear traditional kimonos which means the techniques need to be modified to make up for the lack of material to grip. The grappler’s uniform consists of plain board shorts and a rash guard or T-shirt. No GI grappling versatility makes it ideal to complement other styles or for the benefits it provides on its own.

BJJ Drill Class

The focus of the Drill class is to give each student the opportunity to accelerate the learning process while getting a complete understanding of the techniques and positions shown during class. The time spent drilling moves will reinforce muscle memory and make the moves come natural.

Women’s BJJ

Whether your interests are self-defense, improving fitness, competition, or to start a new hobby, the women’s Jiu-Jitsu class will help you to reach your individual goals. The curriculum is designed for women to gain confidence in a less intimidating atmosphere while learning an effective martial art skill.

Self Defense Class

Free Class open to our students and the public. Learn the basic skills to protect yourself standing and on the ground. Our system takes the best and most reliable moves from: Krav Maga, Karate, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Military combat training and put them into realistic scenarios to make the training as real as possible.

Karate

Karate is a Japanese martial art whose physical aspects seek the development of defensive and counterattacking body movements. The themes of traditional karate training are fighting and self-defense, though its mental and moral aspects target the overall improvement of the individual.

Mixed Martial Arts

Our Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) program will teach you how to fight, while getting into amazing shape. Learn a wide variety of fighting techniques and skills that are useful in both the combat arena and in real world self-defense. Train in a complete system that covers the different disciplines of Striking (boxing and kickboxing), Takedowns (wrestling), and Grappling (jiu-jitsu).

Youth Martial Arts

The Youth Program includes instruction in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Karate (including weapons), and Self-defense. Students can expect to learn the fundamentals of the sport in a safe, structured, motivating atmosphere. The classes combine technique and application, skill-orientated activities, and focus on developing leadership skills.
