JIU JITSU DRILL CLASS
The focus of the Drill class is to give each student the opportunity to accelerate the learning process while getting a complete understanding of the core positions. The time spent drilling Jiu Jitsu techniques will reinforce muscle memory and make the moves come natural.
Jiu Jitsu drill classes help the student to take in a large amount of detail and break it down into manageable steps that don’t require conscious thought only natural movements. It comes down to you not thinking, but just doing the Jiu Jitsu moves and positions.
There are many variations of a move, but drilling and understanding the core steps to the movement is what will make the technique work for you. The repetitive movements of the drills will teach you how to combine techniques and make reactions more fluid when responding to your opponent’s defense.
These Jiu Jitsu classes are perfect for the new student who is looking to build up their level of conditioning from the drills and the few rounds of position rolling at the end of the class. As with all the classes, they are put together to increase the individual’s level of health and fitness.
Structured for those students who want to take it slow in order to get a better understanding of the fundamental positions and movements. Trying to rush through a technique because you are having a hard time understanding or executing a move is the wrong way to train. The goal of the Drill classes is to get every Jiu Jitsu student to continually improve until they master the basics.
The competitive student will find the classes to be a key component to putting together a solid game. Drilling Jiu Jitsu techniques to complement strengths and improve weaknesses will enable you to systematically add in new moves at will.
